God's Artwork

In the morning when you wake up and you see the rising sun come over the horizon,
God made that happen for us so we would have light from the sun.
He paints pictures in the sky and you sometimes see clouds that look like shapes,
He tries to leave signs to help us keep our hope and faith.

As you look out across the fields and see the beauty in the green grass,
Just know God made that artwork and in our memory He meant for it to last.
He made the bluest oceans so when light hit them, it sparkles so bright,
He made the beautiful skies with stars and the moon when we go to sleep at night.

God made all the things around us to show us how powerful He is and that is proof,
He made it with His bare hands like we build a house with a roof.
The artwork He made here is so amazing and I wonder how it is in Heaven,
I bet it would take your breath and it would be so hard to take it all in.

The little birds and butterflies fly in the beautiful skies,
God gave them life and everything you see with your eyes.
It's amazing how one man can create the most beautiful things,
I can only imagine what Heaven will bring.

There will be so many golden paths and streets you can walk on,
You will get to see the beautiful skies and clouds in your new home.
Gods work here on Earth has me so amazed,
I can't wait to get to Heaven and be surrounded with His amazing grace.

This is a wonderful poem and it is so true! People, even some Christians, take the beauty of this world for granted in my opinion. God makes such beautiful things, and most of the time we don't even notice them. Ever since I became a Christian (last year), I see things differently, I notice the beauty in things/people more.

Same here! I actually had one of those moments earlier today. I was in a bad mood for some reason, had to go outside to my car to get a few things from it and has I walked past this tree in our yard this bird starts chirping. It sounded like it was having a fun time singing its little song lol. I took it as a sign that God was trying to cheer me up, which worked. :)

Absolutely fantastic piece of work! I agree I can't wait either, but we
must with patients and a humble heart, all awhile telling our brothers
and sisters that our King will be arriving soon:)
