There is a knot inside my chest that needs to be undone

So I sway my sides to loosen and pull it through

There is a beat that goes unnoticed

I’ll drop my hips to keep it’s company

There is a melody thats run wild in ecstasy

So I’ll use my arms to tame its spirit

The knot is still to tight

and the beat is still to shy

This melody is intoxicating

 I feel I'm taken over by the sounds of an Arabian night

As the sands move my feet and the moon guides my soul

I am a woman in her own, unafraid and passionate

Holding a veil between two fingers, and a rhythm below her feet

Marking her own path among the crowds of captivated eyes

and sparking small flames in the souls who’ve yet to shimmy

oooh, i like this, there's almost an exotic feel to it -- it makes me think of belly dancers in silk and sequins lol... i like how you used music to show confidence, to release inhibitions... it seems like a very 'womanly' poem, like here's a chick who's not afraid to hold her own :D ...and i liked the last line, i thought it worked ;)
