The Answer

The Answer

A Poem by The dark story

The Answer

Exuberant on the firmament’s bed

The silhouettes of decayed sunlight

The foul breeze wandering like dead

Fizzling malediction on the plight.

Embraced in deluge scarlet streams

The san verdant soil, lay repose, stinking

En bloc lay still and silence screams

Save the inhumane flame revelling.

He sowed ruinous seeds of sin

Nurtured the heinous thirst’s soul

The savage forest’s killed our kin

Its roots twisting humans’ soul.

What were we

and what are we now?

Being evolved from ape

Now are we evolving into another beast’s claw?

Author's Note

The dark story
from stones and sticks to swords and spears, and then to rifles and tanks, and from there to atom and nuclear bomb. sounds so weird that we have "worked hard" so much on making devastating weapons rather than finding a path for a peaceful world.

There are many reason why powerful people create such destructive weapons, but i think there are two main reasonable enough reasons for it, one is to protect their matter of interest, second perhaps to protect themselves for the coming of invasion. That's just what i thought, though i don't have real basis on it... your words is a seeker for peace, but on how diverse our culture are... its hard to find the right answer on which is just right or just too much... Many people used abused their power at hand... that is why war history keeps on repeating its bad karma... the news is quite a scare now a days... war is just a door step away into becoming global again... an eye opening piece my friend... well expressed...

The human race, in evolution, seems to be backsliding (or worse). Gives me a feeling of, "what have we done?" One of regret and frustration. I especially enjoyed the third stanza. Powerful imagery and all around great work. I will say, I'm not a fan of the font, but that's just a personal preference. Thanks for sharing. It seems like this was heavy on your heart.

That's true. That was a beautiful sentence construction and a lovely way of spreading the message

sounds like the discussion that happened last night, XD
huh, maybe if we redirected our efforts in the first place we could already be a peaceful world, if you think about how far weve come the other way...

people are really strange. they make weapons and then cry when someone belonging to them dies! i just try to imagine how the world would be like if the money spent on weapons industry was spent on the welfare of people ! wouldnt it have been a really wonderful world then?

Men dream for a peaceful world...but sad to say, they are the ones who destroy their dream.

Nice rhyming scheme. Nice poem.

This is true. We've raised killing to an art instead of living to its fullest potential
