Brazzy Bullshit

Brazzy Bullshit

A Poem by audacious

How do you write words of true
when there are only words a few,

To halt, to hurt, to rip it all out;
To have not, to protect, to shelter your mouth.

Which to prefer, which to use?
as you try to reclaim your thoughts,
your presence, your shoes.

Promises to be broken, another, another,
better than thought of lying which haunts thy Mother.

To me, it's run, it's pack, it's flee,
leaving behind only traces of what could be,
if such things did not happen, if I wasn't me.

If the "bullshit" includes oddly phrased lines that border on the grammatically incorrect and awkward, maybe jarring uses of the archaic language, then this is well done and enjoyable. But if not, then the first stanza needs a little work, and "thy" should be taken out. This otherwise presents some deep thoughts and notions, and it's quite engaging. That last stanza really throws it over the top. Well done!
