lesson learned

lesson learned

A Poem by Audrie

You had no guilt when you offered yourself to me

Well aware of what it would do to me

My body collapsed and I lay on the floor

You nudged my body over so you could walk out the door

You sliced my heart open and left me to bleed

I remember you said, “I’ve taken all that I need”

LESSON LEARNED:

I’ll make sure to stop it

when I think it may be fun

I’ll make sure to block it before it’s begun

If we shall cross paths again

I won't remember what you do

because I find some kind of fucked up dedication to you

and while you’re sitting next to me getting too high,

once again I’ll be planning my escape

while your brain is getting fried

and when my view becomes twisted

and I think it looks fun

then this is when I’ll start to run
