Way too late in the game

Way too late in the game

A Poem by Lily E. Lin
"

Actually this was lyrics, but there writerscafe doesn't give you that option. I'm calling it experimental.. because for me, this is an experiment.

"

Way too late in the game

I'm just losing my mind

Looking for a place to leave

all the worries behind

And its late in the night,

flickering lights tell the time

No one's 'wake but I

and I'm just lonely inside.

It's way too late,

   Too late in this game.

I just could not find

   My original state.

The monsters out

I'm afraid I let them be

So close are they,

   to my memories.

One of these days

will someone find me

Join me in this land

of shadows and rocks

One of these days

will someone join me

Out in this dark

misplaced from the game

Or is it too late? too late, too late.

Or is it too late? too late. too late.

Way too late in this game,

I'm just losing my mind

and I'm looking for a real place

in this game of mine.

About
I suppose I should talk a bit about myself. Writing has long been one of my outlets of expression. I write to vent. That said, I enjoy the intricacies of the word, though it may be a double edged s.. more..
