Fearing The Past

Fearing The Past

A Poem by ~a.wall~
"

I was talking to my Dad and this popped into my head. Let me know what you think.

"

Lights hang off the house

while people sit inside

Smiling and happy

while I run and hide

the blade swings wildly

as their screams fill my ears

the beg for me to stop

but all I hear is fear

Eternity wears my mind

as I start to move forward

Then I look back

and a tear escapes the horde

But I ran away from my past

and hope she doesn't cry

I'm hoping that we last

She just asks me why.

Could you see my pain?

Did you know I was dead?

She brought me back to life

and said I should lay in bed.
