My perfection

My perfection

A Poem by Kimberley Hawker
"

The things that warm my heart the most.

"
Tired eyes gazing at my love sleeping innocently beside me
Fresh air I inhale as I toss and turn between the messy linen
My feet dragging against the chilly carpet
A blanket of cold air over me, as I slowly walk towards the kitchen
The cup of coffee that touches my lips as I take that first sip
Rain pouring through the mist, pattering against the window
Autumn leaves on the trees I admire as I curl up in my chair with my blanket
This, is my perfection.

Love the imagery in this poem! Autumn is my favourite season ever and this perfectly illustrates what it's like to wake up on a cold autumn day ^^ I like the fact that you used almost no punctuation until the very end of the poem, to me it shows that your love of waking up next to your lover on a crisp morning is endless but no one can say that that it isn't your perfection! Like it very much and you should take a look at the contests and groups as well if you're going to stick around on here! Good luck! ^^

Beautiful imagery Kimberley.

"Rain pouring through the mist, pattering against the window" followed by "...as I curl up in my chair with my blanket" Sounds perfect

Ooh with that hot brew in hand. Can't wait for Autumn to switch on fully.

Lovely work!
