The girl in the window

The girl in the window

A Poem by Kimberley Hawker
"

Just a little poem about how I used to sit in the window as a child and was convinced I could stop the rain with my mind. I used to pray that I could so that I could take away my emotional pain.

"
The girl in the window watching the rain,
if she could stop this, maybe she could stop the pain.
Raindrops crashing against the window blurring out all of the noise,
though she had a few friends and lots of toys,
She sat there for hours, thinking the same.
If only I could stop the rain again.
