Every time you asked,

I’d say that I don’t know

Waiting for your calm, sweet words,

To come and tell me so.

It’s been so long,

So many unsure nights,

So many words gone wrong,

So many pointless fights,

We came out strong,

We made it past,

To right those wrongs,

Some things are stained,

Some scars won’t fade,

But now when you ask,

The answer is not the same,

You’ll ask if I know we’ll make it,

And take my hand in yours,

I answer with confidence,

I’m absolutely sure.
