Trash can

Trash can

A Poem by writingurl14

Trash can
the trash can holds many things
one thing is
my hopes and dreams
it holds half eaten food
and random paper
it holds chewed gum
metforically it can hold
hopes and dreams
as thougth it were
walking along
the boulevard of broken dream

Thanks! this means so much to me!
I've read quite a few of your poems like this one they are refreshing and random in style.
Continue to use your writing as a life line many have found it helpful handling life's downs but don't forget to write about the ups too most especially. Don't stick yourself in a box either with your writing style challenge yourself experiment and don't give up.

Nice, kind of a strange idea but it really worked when I didn't think that it would. Good work, I like it!

Some trash is gold to us. Memories and old things can become dreams and goals in a life. A very good poem. Create thoughts and questions.

Just a few corrections. In the third line, "oen" should be "one."
Fifth line, "half eaten" should have a hyphen: half-eaten.
Eighth line, "metforically" should be "metaphorically."

It's interesting to write about inanimate objects, and doing so can strain the imagination which is always a good thing. Keep it up.

I've discarded so many trash cans in my day! Isn't it ironic that they too go into a dump? That is where all the broken dreams and (for lack of a beeter word) 'dirty' little secrets go.! Nice...

Trash can hold everything including hopes and dreams. It takes everything for you, even when it is abandoned by you. Impressive poem.
