Made him proudA Poem by Katie LynnThis is about a president of the USA
Alone in the battlefeild he cries out for help
But no one can reach him until its too late He tries hard not to but the tears fall down Saying his Hail Marys and Our Fathers Praying God forgive him for all the wrongs All alone on the battlefeild he slowly dies Wondering if she knows how much he loved her Hoping he made his father proud of him She sits alone at home waiting for him to return Constantly checking her messenger, every minute Waiting for him to sign on and tell her how it went the days go by and she starts to worry about him It'll be a week before she finds out his fate She gets the email, and knows almost right away An ominous subject line, about Sgt Sullivan. The first word Ma'am and she cries Wondering if he knew how much she loved him. Hoping she made him proud of her Another man sits around family in a nice house The world watching him live and breath unaware of the boys that no one sees die Uncaring that the world is getting strained But its his legacy, in eight years of death and everyone wonders if he made his father proud © 2012 Katie LynnReviews
