Constrains

Constrains

A Poem by ~barefoot empress~

There are so many things I wish to confess to him So many things I want to say To release I wish to break free from all this burden Let go of all this darkness Expel all that confines me to a ember I want to grant his requests, and fall open to him But my tongue is bound, thick in tethers Rendering me mute The path to my inter garden, has long since overgrown, and I am shackled. I am beaten and worn, unable to reach through the iron bars that hold me here. I am locked behind these brawling dark eyes, And  the mask of this, sweetly plastered smile

Wow, this was intense. I am impressed by the shift of tone at the end. Damn.
