Mustang Mesa

Mustang Mesa

A Poem by barleygirl
"

inspired by friend's photo . . .

"

Bury me below mustang mesa
where the unruly beasts roam
surrounded by bountiful belleza
I’ll embrace my eternal home.

Mustang manes are windswept
while coyotes shriek the ridge
stones tumble down stair-stepped
to the ancient fallen-tree bridge.

Memoirs like dry leaves are scattered
smoldering stares once were tempestuous
jealousies and drama got us tattered
both drawn and repelled by tumultuous.

Bury me with lupines strewn unruly
oh ground squirrels burrow me fresh air
please shed no tears or moan unduly
just release my spirit after a humble prayer.

My favorite wild place was in Washington State. I traveled to the free mountains. Your description took me to perfect views and the free wild earth. Thank you dear friend for sharing the amazing poetry and thoughts.

Washington State is one place I like to visit again. I would appreciate her more.
This is a bit wild and dynamic in its rustic appeal. Sounds to me like a fitting place for an adventurous lady to rest her bones. I especially like the idea of squirrels bringing down some air.

Such a serene picture inspired such an unusual sentiment, people usually do not plan on their final resting place, and contemplate in moving thoughts! Made me feel sad! It only shows your capacity to write about any topic ! Affectionately, Mrudula.
