Cool off by the water

Cool off by the water

A Poem by Bonnie

We are having a heat wave. I like to go to the Marina to cool off and relax. I wrote these in the last two days.

Cool breeze from the Bay

Release the heat of the day

Relax near water

Gentle breeze today

Sunshine sparkles on the waves

Relax near water

Sitting in the shade

Feel cool breeze over water

Love the cool effect

Scan shoreline of stones

Squirrel peaks from behind stones

Slips back out of sight

Stretch out on the grass

Gentle breeze caresses me

Time to relax now

Stretch out on the grass

Release stress to Earth below

Relief is welcome

The sun is setting

Red glow on the horizon

A red ball of fire

Refreshing cool air

Relief from the heat of day

Shadows are welcome

Rolling hills aglow

Sun sinks below horizon

Soon all will be dark

Walk beside the Bay

Many people in the park

Hear laughter and fun

This is beautiful and uplifting. Twenty years in the Navy, you know I learned to be at one with water.

A really good string of haiku. I find it relaxing and soothing. Keep up the good work! :)

I liked this. It was really soothing. I love the ocean, the beachfront, and that wonderful environment near the sea. When I read this I was imagining myself there.
