Keeping stupid faith alive

Keeping stupid faith alive

A Poem by Rebecca Leigh

Keeping Stupid hope alive

Your eyes pierce my soul,

and stun my heart,

your smile makes me gasp,

and forget everything else.

you take me to new worlds,

without even leaving the room.

your laugh makes me dizzy,

and when I look at you,

I feel completely safe,

until you pull away,

And I am lost,

Craving your presence.

when you speak,

nothing else matters,

my worries shrink away,

nothing and no one else exists.

I am quick and impulsive.

Impatient I am:

To get lost in you,

but I respect you mind body and soul.

maybe I am wishing for ghosts,

but still I wait.

waiting for ghosts...hoping there won't be the pulling away---heart on a string.

I think What I like the most here is the 'organic' feel of the poetry. It feels very much like your writing in the moment, particularly the line endings leave a good tension throughout the work.
