A Butterfly Killer

A Butterfly Killer

A Poem by Becca C.

Here's a little story about a butterfly killer
Believe it or not, her life is such a thriller
She draws butterflies on her wrists
To stop the addiction that exists

A butterfly killer is what she is
The creatures die just like this
She takes the blade to her wrist
Tears are trickling down her chin

She's a butterfly killer just like all the rest
Believe me, she does try to protest
When she cuts the butterfly dies
And now she feels all lonely inside
