A Poem by Laura Grigoras

The doctor said

for lonely souls
there is no material treatment
no chocolate
no wine
no cigarettes
all of these are medicine
just for the moment
and the despair will come again
because she likes being with you
-you bring her comfort
 you let her be herself-
for lonely souls
like yours
there is no naturalistic medicine
something more more powerful
waits to be found
for lonely souls
like yours
the only medicine that you can find
sits inside of you.

This poem is amazing, the only "medicines" are temporary and won't last forever. We need to be the one who solves our problems, not just drowns it away with stuff that will come back later and you will regret it. Love this poem, and I can't wait to read more!

You are right. Your words led the reader to logical ending. We must fix ourselves. Some people are born old souls and need little. Thank you Laura for sharing the amazing words and your thoughts.
