Changed ME

Promptly nowadays people’s comments about me are-

“She has changed”.

Probably yes I have changed.

 

Like everyone I too enjoyed people’s company…

Now I am in love with my own company.

 

Before I used to become a part of people’s discussion…

Now introspecting myself is the considerable discussion I am part of.

 

Before loneliness acted as a toxin for me…

Now Loneliness has become an antidote of all my complications.

 Yes I have changed.

 

Not sure I am going on a right road or not...

But yes doing this my satisfaction is assured.

Before I made people my guide…

Now I made myself my mentor.

 Yes I have changed.

 

This was the year full of lessons and new experiences.

Appreciating those who hate me,

I still see you as my well-wishers.

And of course respecting my admirers,

I oblige you too with all my gratitude.

Thank you for entering your piece.

I found that I could really emphasise with your words as I too have often been told that I have changed throughout my adult years, and like yourself I question whether this is viewed as positive or negative by those surrounding me; but I guess time will tell.

I like your format, I think it is very clever, as well as the subject matter itself which as I have mentioned is relative to all readers.
