We never expected that we'd be together

End up as best friends for all our lives

Definitely thought it'd just last a week

Didn't you?

 

I stood beside him

Nothing but love going through my mind

Gently, he takes my hand.

So now we're finally wed.

Not quite sure what the inspiration was for this piece besides that it was for a contest...

The acrostic WEDDINGS just gave me something to structure it around...
