Gift From Above

Gift From Above

A Poem by bigfootprint
"

They come in grace to fill an emptiness That fades with tiny first wail and caress.

"
Little Emma has come to bless the home
Of Ronnie and Beca. Let it be known.
Her tiny face beams with radiant smile
And brightens her new earthly domicile.

Like a breath of fresh air, Emma arrives
Amidst a flood of tears to bless two lives --
A man and a woman, in a blossoming love,
Their union blooms with gift from above.

Babies bring joy and fullness to our lives.
They choose long before do husbands and wives.
They come in grace to fill an emptiness
That fades with tiny first wail and caress.

They wait eagerly in heaven to come
And take their place in family and home.
And any parent who the honor offends
Must one day atone for all of those sins.

Ronnie and Beca, with loving kin all,
Pray for their Emma, so precious and good,
For a long, healthy life, and to God call
For blessings and guidance in parenthood.

This was a custom project read during church dedication rites for a one-year-old. I was told the tears flowed freely during the ceremony.

A lovely project you share.
Private, or in front of congregation, Dedication of one’s child fills one’s heart with so much promise and hope.
