XXXI Lobo

XXXI Lobo

A Poem by outrider6

 Lobo

The passing of time, yes it's shameless
Yet I'm enamored by the beauty of it all
This lone wolf's wanderings are aimless
Whilst the vision of thee holds me in thrall

The lodestar gleams with the midnight sun
Where the fangs of the peaks cleave the sky
The un named rivers where salmon run
And the grizz roam cold ground high

I'm a vision of darkness, dark knight of twilight
When daylight fades, a tune I'll croon
With delight I incite the oncoming night
In a dream of a mountain man's rune

When stars are bright, and the aurora alight
Like the lobo I howl paens at the moon
