XXV Bitter Wind

XXV Bitter Wind

A Poem by outrider6

   Bitter Wind

We was hanging around, friends from the 'ol home town
Settin on the cold hard ground, passin T-Bird around
Had nothin to share but that bottle 'o bird in brown bag
Had a star in my eye, she had moonshine in her hair
Heh  Heh  Heh...

Feelin no pain reached across the fire, touchin her
My arm hairs meltin, smokin, stinkin lil round balls
Heh  heh..She didn'y care a'tall, nor did I
Guys was a scratchin, gals brushin an paintin
Heh  Heh  Heh...

Stars, they was so bright, moon not to be found
Moans an groans, lying alone, in swamp water
Heh  Heh..peelin off the leeches, naked in the cold
Snakes and creepy things crawlin around
Then the shells come tumblin down...

The bitter wind blows..All is well
Dreamin of the World that was
        Heh..Heh...Hehh......
