The Attack

Living with anxiety and depression.

Her chest was tight
It felt like she was being held down
How could she fight this invisible force
when she had no idea what was the cause
She didn't know whether to scream or cry
And now she's struggling to breathe
Can somebody please help
Pacing up and down on the same piece of floor
What's going to happen next
She won't be able to control
She wants someone to hug her tightly
But she wants everyone to get away from her
Her heart is beating so fast
She's going to fall down
And then it's over
It's all over

And now she feels relieved
She survived it again
But she still can't shake the feeling
It runs throughout her body
Threatening to start again
It's taunting her and she doesn't know why
All she can do is try to ride through the storm
And wait for a happier time again
