A HOME FAR ABROAD

A HOME FAR ABROAD

A Poem by Uche Paul
"

Expressing the desire to bask and frolic in the light of God.

"

Towards there the light shine in far abroad
Do I set my eyes and pine to make abode,
When at last I cross the bar and join the other coast,
As the sun, within the skyline, slips in to rest and roost.

Untainted ones alone I know, will march on its aisle of gold
And souls that bear a blemish robe, will all gnash in the severe cold
But if the Lamb I love so dear, His love alone can set me cleared
To march along the shining birds, beyond the cold and fearful dread.

Oh! What joy and peace and great the living dream
To spring and groom all dawn before the Glory Stream
Whose love and truth ignites and stokes the light
That travels far abroad of which my all delights.
