The Holidays Are Over

The Holidays Are Over

A Poem by Ben Ther
"

A postcard

"
I already lost the scarf at a good movie
The apartment, where they live, is apt with wifely warmth
The New York Public Library, where they visit, is mostly
Just a research library - books are hard to find
Food - chapped, boneless, skinless breasts
The winter mush fest
           Grey-mustard sandwich - okay
           Grey is in this seasoning
           Grey socks and woolen shoes
           Hit the snooze button
           Mutton, chops and pea soup
Cool, colder
Cast iron shoulder pads, oh yeah, grey grass

Gracias!

Made me laugh too..funny how we get to the point we want the Holidays to end,,,but when they do,,we get into a dumpy mood and loose that festive feel..You did well expressing this in your write..Good job..God bless..Valentine

Pretty simple man with a headache. Often pegged as being preoccupied, but... who isn't. However, I believe in striking when the iron is hot. Oh yeah, and timing. Timing is huge. There's a lot to .. more..
