Still, I'll Find you Again

Still, I'll Find you Again

A Poem by SoulExchanger
"

If you were to leave today, I would not be surprised. But our story is an ellipsis, and I know I'll find you again.

"

If you were to leave today
I would not be surprised
We are both culpable
you for your deceit
and I for my indulgence.

I dreamt of chimerical dreams
painted you a hero
and acquiesced to your demands.

Quell my inherent desires
to rail about your sins
but instead provide an fabricated profile
eyes blank, arms locked in self-defense
face serene and unknowing.

By silence I intimated everything
for the predominant ideal is:
acknowledge those who surmount
but protect those who are tied.

I do not cower, but I do not fight.
Pilfering your power bits by bits,
supply confidence in return,
and I have won this toxic game.

Are you amazed?
I have conspired against you
eroded your distrust
suffered abundantly
but I persisted.
Followed your male bravura
like a love struck fool.

Gathered my evidence
extradite, revenge.

You hold my soul in your hands
our story is an ellipsis,
not yet ending.

and i know i’ll find you again…

Interesting, a sort of passive resistance dysfunctional love story, like if Ghandi combined with my ex. Just one little grammar thing, i think an only goes in front of vowels and silent h's. I like how there's a sort of cyclical power dynamic, like two moons chained together in orbit. Pretty cool.
