window and door

window and door

A Poem by sette

When a window closes,

The door opens

Not necessarily,

Sometimes both of them are closed.

You look up and wondered,

What is life to me?

I am at a losing end.

Misfortunes and woes surround me.

There, you come up with answers,

Most of them are nonsensical.

Why?

Because you have to blame

Someone,

Something or

Anything.

Just to make it lighter,

Just to ease the pain,

Just to hide the truth.

But, you realized one big thing,

After all the headaches and heartaches.

The truth will always unfold in the end.

There is nobody to be blamed

But You and only You.

I love your message becuz I'm often "going off" on those who write excessive "blame" poems! Yes, every interaction takes more than one person, so all those involved have something to give & something to take from it. I love the way you show how the blame game manifests, but in the end, you deliver the unavoidable truth of life's experiences. I also like the way you kinda spoof the old saying at the start, which gets kinda old & tiresome becuz sometimes the next few steps are down a windowless & doorless hallway! *smile* fondly, Margie

Nice. I often wonder why we eagerly accept praise when it goes right, but barely acknowledge our faults when it goes wrong, dismissing it as being unlucky, or blaming someone else.

that is what we call being human lorry and thanks again for visiting
Indeed, the truth always comes out. When there are problems in a relationship, it is never just because of one person. Both people contribute to the happiness or sadness in any relationship. Good one. Lydi**

yes totally true thanks for the review
Spot on. We live in a culture of blame.
It's someone else's fault.
But really it boils down to. You.
