Life at 40

Life begins at 40.

As the cliché goes,

 

When I turned 40,

I am nearing another goal

And that is to be a golden girl.

 

What life has been

For the past forty years?

I can describe it as,

Like riding a carousel and

Roller coaster at the same time.

 

I have loved and  been lied to,

I have been cheated for the nth time.

I have been fooled for countless times.

 

But still,

I have lots to be thankful for,

I have my supportive family,

I have my loving child,

I have my friends

And most of all I have God

Beside me and always.

From someone who will be forty-teen this year (50), I sympathise...But if you ever feel down about your sage, just consider the alternative to getting old, death. :)

It is so true that life certainly has its ups and downs. So many lows, but more importantly so many more highs. I have 37 more years than your 40 and I'm still going strong and pretty darn happy with my life.
Like Galadriet said before me"Age is just a figure. . . . it's what inside the heart that counts." I also think that although age has its problems, it beats the alternative.

yes it just number where age is concerned what is important is the wisdom attached to it through experience and it would not be complete without pains and joys. Thanks for the wonderful review dave and I know I can learn a lot from you.

Perhaps. I find that with all its' aches and pains, getting old still beats the alternative. Of course if you want that much of a rest. LOL.

yes totally true it reminds me of the stage where Erickson's theory on psycho social development emphasizes that at your age it is stagnation vs. generativity. so it still means you have the purpose to live longer despite the many aches and pains physically hahaha.

yes there are medicines for every pain right? and there in the states there are many hmos which can help in the medical needs of the citizens unlike here it has been one hopeless situation.

yes i am forty plus at present but my heart is still on the teenage stage, i still go ga-ga over handsome korean guys ( i am a fan of kdramas) thanks for the wonderful review friend.
