seeking

seeking

A Poem by sette

I never imagine

How time passes by

So quickly,

I forgot that there

Is more to work,

But then deadlines

Are here to stay,

Have to cope up

Or lag behind,

I miss the craziness

Of life,

Of just taking time,

Walking or reading a book,

All I can do right now

Is my comfort drink,

Iced coffee.

It has been a busy time,

So erratic that I can’t describe

What life has been like for me.

No regrets,

I am taking it slow,

I am trying to hope

That there might be answers

For the quests I am constantly

seeking.

I am trying to enjoy

All the mundane things

Life has to offer for now.

I am not asking for too much,

But perhaps one day,

The love for that person

Will grow stronger

Despite the many tribulations

That come along the way.

Que sera, sera,

Whatever will be,

Is something I have to contend with,

But one thing which is real

One thing which is true,

I do truly love that person.

I am not making any promises,

I am not creating tales,

I just want to savor the new

Feelings again.

Whatever may come

Out of this,

Will be accepted fully

By yours truly.

I agree dear friend.
"Whatever may come
Out of this,
Will be accepted fully
By yours truly."
The above lines, truer than true. Thank you for sharing the outstanding poetry.

Iyan iyong relasyon masarap ipagmalaki.

This feels like a bit of a pep talk, like maybe you haven't been writing & you're clearing your channels of things possibly clogging your brainwaves. I know this feeling well from when I was working & going to school & life felt like a jumble. Now I'm retired & experiencing the leisurely pace you seem to be longing for. Before you know it, life will slow down for you, too, & I wish you will have more time to write & ponder & explore (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

It is good to live in the now and to appreciate the little things in life which some may consider mundane. That is mindfulness for you. Hope you are OK sette. Happy to see a post from you.

don't have to make promises....just roll with it....enjoy the relationship and face each new challenge in life head on...
and i like the idea of acceptance at the end of the poem...
whatever happens...accept what we are given and make the most of it.
