may

may

A Poem by sette

It is MAY once again,

The weather here is so sunny,

MAY our weather improve a few days from now,

MAY our fervent wishes come true,

MAY have the time to write poems regularly

MAY have the me-time I am craving for.

MAY get back the strength I have,

MAY  be physically healed by now.

Wishing that my RA may not come back.

MAY    MAY     MAY    MAY   MAY   MAY

What’s next? JUNE?

I'm very sorry to hear you have RA, if this poem is autobiographical. I also live with constant pain & you capture how some months can be celebrated, while other months must be endured, but we never know which will be which kind of month. Your poem drives home my first lesson in living with pain -- don't let the anticipation of pain define my existence, instead, anticipate a GOOD day . . . and work my expectations downward if a good day just isn't happening! But you have to reach for the good days becuz they won't come if you sit around moping! This is simply written, but the meaning is deceptively deep (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

ohhhhhhh dahlink!! i feel the pain and frustration in this poem .. May we all have better days and balm for our pain ... RA is a very difficult condition to endure .. i am a retired RN so though i don't know it first hand i do know of it enough to feel empathy ... God bless you dear! fortunately much research continues to find cures and treatments .. any inflammatory process causes much grief and loss of productivity in our lives ...not to mention costs .. so it is getting good attention .. we pray that cures are found soon .. lovin' on ya my friend! and thanks again for the nice surprise mail!

Truly I'm sorry I missed this for some time. Here it is, days away from November. I truly love May - all the wonderful things that it promises, all the hopes that are waiting to be fulfilled. But here it is late October and the beautiful green leaves I was waiting for in May are now the reds and gold and yellow leaves that I'm begrudgingly raking off my lawn.

Thank you for the reminder - take care - Dave

A lovely little post that both makes this reader smile and wince, almost within the same breath... May all your wishes come true and may all your dreams be fulfilled.... Neville

May rains are here. The world is greening up. The grass is too high and will be a chore to cut. The trees are flowering. The tulips are well up. Time for warmer temperatures.
May your health improve.

May, what a month.
