Snow King Drug

Snow King Drug

A Poem by Moth Phoenix

I'm hypnotized by the falling snow,
creating memories I thought were lost.
Lost within my subconscious.
Countless memories that bring you back,
bring you back for the worse.
Each snowflake is a reason,
a reason why I will always hate you.
Falling rapidly, or floating quietly.
Why can't I forget you? I was addicted.
Sober for 4-years of you.
But your feeling still plagues me,
sucking me back into your storm.
I know how to get out now,
stick a needle in my arm and inject strength.
Those snowflakes fall into snow piles,
those piles melt and die.
Just like your memory.
Nothing in my blunt, nothing to crush and snort.
I threw those needles away.
You are the snow king, and you were my drug.

Moth Phoenix
I used sort of...a drug metaphor. That's how it felt to be with him. Please, let me know what you think.

Nice metaphoric piece it's a double metaphor right?

The world can be rough and cold at times and it is great to have a soft interior but to make it we also need a tough skin. Great use of metaphors.

This is excellent Moth, i get this, and it's poetic and has true emotional quality.
