Free Bird

Free Bird

A Poem by Moth Phoenix
"

So i've liked this kid since 8th grade.....and now I only have a week until I don't get to see him again :/

"
As the moments turn into days,
and my words fall to stone,
I wonder if there is still hope.
I'm so paranoid and I need to stop,
you're a free bird that I can only watch.
And if it's so...than it's not meant to be.

How can three simple words be so hard to say?
Every time they cross my head I run away.
I can't deny those blue eyes you hold,
or that golden blonde hair you show off.
Every moment I waste are ones I wanted back,
somehow you keep me on track.

Playing eye tag won't do me no good,
sometimes I feel like you like me back.
Then it might just be what I want...not what you want.
You are a free bird for me to watch,
but why can't I just hold you once?

You beat out every single guy I've once loved,
but if only you could see what you truly mean to me.
Then maybe I could smile in your arms.
