A Dream

A Dream

A Poem by ?uestion

She is only a dream,
to be forever out of reach,
there to stay beside me,
but in the corners of my mind,
oh how she sings to me,
siren lullabies,
soothing songs of pain,
I scream from its words,
and cry upon it's melody,
please my love,
take my hand,
take me with you,
forgive,
bring me to void,
you've been missing for to long,
my ship has been without a captain,
Soon I will crash upon some foreign shore,
and be lost in the dark,
I need you guide me once again,
steer me to white shores,
so that I may never wake‎,
so that I may see you evermore.

Author's Note

?uestion
He needs her even when she is gone from this world. Following the memories of his past even as they ruin the present. Should he cling to her memory or move forward and forget her?
