Fountain Of Tears

Fountain Of Tears

A Poem by Bonnie Paige

Can you imagine the tears of screaming pain, that flows like a waterfall from your burning eyes?

THAT RUN, and run down the broken body into the fountain of your life into the tortured heart.  It floods the heart until it overflows bleeding your tears of red.

That flood of red pain that is from the cold and dead of what once brought life and now no - longer brings joy.

Can you imagine loving what can never love back?  Can you imagine loving what has gone frigid and petrified?  Can you imagine being trapped in such grief that stings from it’s haunting?

That love, can only shed just so many tears.

That love, the body can only be broken from for so long.

That love, can only be missed for now and forever.

Then the tears run out, the body shuts down, the heart-pounding from such pain stops

It’s beating and shuts down its valves,  becoming cold, harden, and the dead heart that invades life every day.

                 But still, you breathe life!

Yes. I don't have children, but I know that it's a tough thing to watch.
Lots of feels, here. Then, I read your author's more. It's tough. Hugs.
