On this Dark Night

it's dark,

it's cold,

i'm scared,

i'm alone.

i've no one to hold me,

and hush my fears,

to sing me to sleep,

and wipe my tears.

no one to protect me, 

and to be the light,

that I need so much

on this cold, dark night.
