The Other Side

The Other Side

A Poem by Acropolix

Hold my hand;
Walk with me;
Take me to
the other side;

Don't cry now;
I am here,
you are there,
we are everywhere;

Cross the line,
step into the light
and bring me
your warm smile;

I remember us
before I went
To the other side

Hold me close,
don't let go;
I feel alone
on this side;

My last breath
left your lips;

Inside of me
is the pain
of two souls;
You're gone to

The other side;

It's a moving piece. My first guess was that one of the lovers is in the afterlife but it could be a separation otherwise. It has a Vanilla Twilight (a song) feel to it or maybe it's just me. I can really understand the feelings that have been expressed.
