still doll

the doors open and the light turn on
in come people from near and far
we watch as they look as us in admiring daze
while all we can do is wait

 

one comes up to me and smiles
while another takes away those precious from me
my anger and sadness cannot be shown
for it is unacceptable

 

we never chose to be here
we do not wish to stay
but either way, we have no choice
we play this part in fate

 

i watch as they are taken away
one by one
a silent goodbye is all i can say

for i am but another still doll
