White Noise

White Noise

A Poem by Brenda Woods
"

there's static in my brain

"
static in my brain
and i don't want to think
i don't want to breathe
let me drown
let all this white noise
shut out
the screaming in my head
breathe in, breathe out
start over again
white noise, white noise
just count to ten
start over again

static in my brain
i'll let it all shut out
i'll let myself drown
in white noise, white noise
and emptiness
