I got told that I am a freak based on how I look. This poem has been written to shut down that feeling of inferiority. Because I am me.

I shouldn't be made
To feel as if
Maiming myself
Will make the pain
go away...

It never does.

I shouldn't
Have to feel
As if I'm not
Wanted

As if
I
Can't walk out in public
Because I don't
fit the mould

I never do

I don't need
To feel
Inferior
Because I'm not the same
As the girl
Who is making me feel
Like a freak.
