Colours

Colours

A Poem by breakthebrokenone

I feel so small
standing in the darkness
that absorbs all my colours
and all my emotions
until I am empty
and have to rely on someone
to take their memories
and claim them as my own.

But he is filled
with a rainbow
and he extends it to me
His heart is the pot of gold
which everyone wants
but he only gives it to the one
who he feels needs it most.
