And then there's you

I could never trust someone entirely
too meek to allow myself to feel
or even get close
And then there's you.

I could not allow myself to be seen in my underwear.
Too afraid of mockery and judgement
to ever allow someone to look at me
in such a way that would allow my beauty to be unleashed
And then there's you.

I wouldn't let myself be touched
With consent
Only doing it in fear of the consequences
Of saying no
But now it is a privilege
Because it is you.
