Passing Feelings

Passing Feelings

A Poem by breakthebrokenone
"

Written in lieu of death

"
It still feels surreal
not having you to call
or run to when my tower crumbles
because I never thought
I would have to fight these
battles on my own.

Twenty one years
was all I had to spend with you
and it went by quicker than I anticipated
not like it was written on your forehead
for us to read and count down to
and for that I am grateful
because our time was not measured
by the hours or minutes or even seconds
but by moments of pure joy
left to reside in my mind.
