fearful scattered thoughts

fearful scattered thoughts

A Poem by Latifa
"

the greatest enemy resides within

"
Crumbled bread i follow
                                  To the scattered signs
The hidden bushes are blazing
          No longer able to survive
Concealed mystic longing is sitting around
The haunted voices are sneaking
                             Deeper with  marching armies
                                  And the sentinels are petrified
Phantom of desires and lust is dragging the sturdy spirit
  The mountains are falling
                                                  And the skies strongly collide
The alibis are choking
And the doors are slamming to the lies

The imagery and the flow here are truly in sync. This is powerful and the subtle religious parallels fit very well and take the poem to a different level, well done.

The imagery you presented here...is quite complicated and scary...deep within.... :)

The lines were strong and hidden story in between the words. I wanted to read more. The poem open the door to long conversations with no real answers. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

Good energy! This piece scared me a bit. It was so good reality started to impinge on the poem's theory!

This is the first piece I've read by you and I'm blown away...the images and form are incredibly striking...I loved the bit about haunting voices and petrified sentinels...the feeling of fear is unavoidable in these words, yet there is almost an element of hope in the idea of the doors slamming to the lies...awesome piece all around :)

To be able to think this way is very rare. I love the way this poem hides fear and expressed thoughts that are a result of it. This is beautiful :)
