LOVE eulogies

LOVE eulogies

A Poem by Latifa
"

thet heart is not to be controlled

"

Embrace the night's dances,

Tapping with the melodies of nostalgia,

Tuning with rhythmical chime of love eulogies.

Whistles in the air;

Whispers in the dusky lairs

Twirling with silvery shadows of rebellious feelings.

 The heart is drenched

In sour rivers of whimsical  ballads,

Arbitrary,frivolous

Yet ecstatic.

Where is the ceiling

That kept my reasonings?

It seem that the house of logic

Is built with fainting cards,

So I'll embrace the night's dances

And tune with the rhythmical  chimes of love eulogies.

Very nicely done and a poem I can certainly relate to. Enjoyed it much.

Connected to this on a personal level. My sense was of the night's influence on our feelings of lost love and nostalgia. I especially like the lines "Arbitrary,frivolous/Yet ecstatic"

You craft your works very well, using metaphor to its exact proporltions. The "sour river" is a prime example that makes works like this memorable. An extremely well done poem that I enjoyed reading immensely.
