the life of rocks

the life of rocks

A Poem by Latifa
"

looked into the mountain and this came into my mind :p

"
Do not blame the rocks for choosing a life of stillness
one can behold and
rise silently.
no noise,
no jerking,
no tumult,
you'll wake to see me on top.
A mountain.
Casting shadows on you,
letting you float, move and fly
blessing you to dance with me
and around me,
sheltering you.
that's the sacrifice I've made
my voice chosed the caves of depth to echo
I roar within and rise
silently.
So do not blame the rocks for choosing
the
 life
of
stillness
it's her stillness that's keeping us
centered.

Good write with a fine, careful line length...

Lovely. Some of us are meant to fly, and some are meant to be an anchor. The rocks never seem to fade away.

One of my favorites of yours that I've read thus far. It's these still rocks in themselves, no matter what they may be, that provide us the freedom to flow through life. Great piece. :)

Its amazing how many huge stones balance seemingly against all laws of physics. Just as so many choose to live in the shadows of their spouses and their quiet strength gives succour to all around. My grandmother was such a stone.
Thanks for the RR Latifa

I sense such a strength in your silences. And how stones can seem so isolated and alone, yet flowing with a courage to stand in any storm. Beautifully written in your uplifting soul's light.
