Wise Again

They say I'm always sad..

They say I'm never happy

That I write with strife.

I say to them, on you go

For this is my life.

I know what I feel.

And it may be too blue.

But how else will I let go

of the bad things that I hold onto.

Trust me, I smile!

But those things don't need to be noted.

Because it would be a shame to store them in a poem.

You see, those times you must share!

Share them with those empty stares.

Remind them of the light. Remind them the beauty they have inside.

I am happy and I know this to be true-

Look, I just shared it with you.

Author's Note

People always tell me my poetry is dark, glum and sad.

Maybe their right... but I know happiness (: hopefully you can feel that here. I would love some criticism.

My earlier attempts at poetry were always dark. Poems will always have mixed emotions by many different writers.

This is very much inspirational for the people who are kinda depressed, and yeah, as you said, who mostly write dark poetry. This is a simple theme yet you've made it look new to our eyes! The rhyming provided an extra edge. I truly liked it :)
