What love feels like

What love feels like

A Poem by Brenda Alicia
"

I haven't felt love in so long, I forgot what it felt like...

"
Thank you for your time, I know it's precious yet you spend it with mine
I appreciate your eyes, they remind me how often mine glisten when I am by your side
I truly love your scent, my God, it goes straight to my head.
I can't thank you enough for lighting my soul on fire and I don't fear tomorrow-
If you were to leave, it would be okay-
because the time we spent was a perfectly executed play-
One I can always relive-
Because I took your hoodie and it clings to my body as I walk around my house thinking about our bodies-
touching, in the middle of the night, until you asked to turn on the lights-
and that may have been the best decision I've ever made-
Because now I want you every night
Inside.
By my side.
Thank you for your patience, it makes me want to give you more-
Your eyes, they penetrate my soul
Without cologne- I fell in love
Honestly- I can't thank you enough.
