A Growing Life, a Growing Love

A Growing Life, a Growing Love

A Poem by Your Tasty Field Advisor

She lies on the bed staring at her ceiling
Like a corps unmoved and almost breathless
Her face full of fear and worry
She doesn’t know how to tell him what has happened
She wishes she didn’t know how it happened
Oh that wonderful night
He made her feel like a star in the heavens
Like a precious flower that is to be untouched by a winter chill
And now she looks down to realize that night shouldn’t have happened
It now grows in her abdomen without pause
She doesn’t know how to tell her family or friends
She knows for sure that it was love that happened that night
And it’s love that’s growing inside her
She knows she’s young yet
But maybe God meant it to be time for the lovers
She knows all too well her family and friends will be disappointed
But she knows he will love her still
He will forever love her and forever be by her side
Hopefully in time things work out with time.
