Tug O' War

This is just a short piece of writing about depression, which I struggle with, and writing about it is just one of my coping skills.

Depression is like tug o' war,

and you, weak and frail,

are losing

your thoughts are spinning and all your mind

and body can concentrate on is giving up,

but no that's not an option is it

you're tired, oh so tired, as you fall to your

knees and weep

you gasp for air, "help me" you scream

without the realization that

no one can hear you, and

you are now your own worst enemy

I've been there so believe me when I say I understand. Writing was the only thing that got me through most days. I've been doing better and you can get to a better place too. Just stay strong and keep writing. If you ever need a friend, here I am.
